Our values
Nine principles behind how Edge decides, builds, adapts, and earns the right to keep going. Each one is followed by the behaviour it actually obliges — because a value you can't check is decoration.
Where a behaviour below describes something already true, you can verify it on this site or in the products. Where it describes a commitment we have not yet been tested on, it's written as one.
- 01
Fearlessness
Attempt meaningful things whose uncertainty or difficulty would deter conventional organizations. Take bold risks in pursuit of real progress, not risk for its own sake.
What that obliges
We publish the attempts that didn't work alongside the ones that did. Two of the posts on this site exist because shipping something exposed a gap in how we work.
- 02
Integrity
Truth outranks convenience, politics, growth, and narrative. Be precise about what we know, what we do not know, and what our products can and cannot do.
What that obliges
Every product page carries a Limitations section and a plain statement of what the product does not replace — written before launch, not added after complaints.
- 03
Curiosity
Question accepted constraints, investigate better possibilities, and keep learning. Progress begins by asking what people are forced to live around today that could be different tomorrow.
What that obliges
Every product page opens by naming the constraint people currently live around, before a single feature is described. If we can't name it, we haven't understood the problem yet.
- 04
Adaptability
No product, technology, business model, or structure is entitled to survive because it worked before. Preserve the purpose; continuously evolve the means.
What that obliges
No product is protected because we built it. When something stops being the best way to deliver the capability, it gets rebuilt or retired rather than defended.
- 05
Stewardship
Act as temporary custodians of Edge. Leave its knowledge, resources, systems, and future options stronger for the generations that follow.
What that obliges
We optimise past the immediate revenue. SuppsWise refuses paid placements from supplement brands, and commission rate is not an input to what it recommends.
- 06
Symbiosis
Build mutual benefit with customers, communities, partners, and the wider systems Edge depends on. Durable success strengthens its surroundings rather than extracting from them.
What that obliges
Where a product earns money, the mechanism is published on the product's own page and kept structurally separate from what it recommends.
- 07
Inclusivity
Progress matters more when more people can use it. Reduce barriers of cost, complexity, access, language, ability, geography, and technical confidence wherever practical.
What that obliges
Cost and complexity are treated as defects. Every product is free, runs in a browser with nothing to install, needs no account, and is built for budget phones and slow connections.
- 08
Continuity of Purpose
Protect the mission across generations without confusing the institution with the mission. Edge must continually earn the right to exist by remaining useful to humanity.
What that obliges
The mission outranks the company. We would rather change what Edge makes than change what Edge is for — and we hold no product as part of the identity.
- 09
Resilience
Design products, teams, systems, and governance to absorb shocks, recover, and keep serving. Avoid fragile dependence on a single person, technology, supplier, or assumption.
What that obliges
Important workflows are designed to fail clearly and recover. Where a product depends on an outside service, it degrades to a useful state rather than an empty screen.
