Edge Life

A world where the best of human progress is within everyone's reach.

Edge Life is a product company that turns useful knowledge and technology into everyday capabilities, designed to work within ordinary budgets, devices and connections.

The gap

Progress arrives long before access does.

Humanity keeps expanding what is possible. Access lags behind. Something is invented, proven, or understood — and then cost, complexity, required knowledge, or plain availability keep it out of reach for most people for years afterwards.

Our role

Turning useful progress into everyday capability.

Edge Life works on the second half of that. We take progress that already exists somewhere and turn it into something a person can actually use, on the device and budget they already have.

We create simple, trustworthy products that turn useful knowledge and technology into everyday capabilities accessible to everyone.

The evidence so far

Every product, built on the same premise.

Each one takes something that already worked for people with money, expertise or access, and makes it work without those. All free, and all in a browser.

The point of it

What you can do now that was harder before.

Every product has to answer that question before it ships. These are the answers, in the same words used on each product's own page.

Possibilities →
You can go from not knowing what to do with the next half hour to a short list of realistic, varied things that suit how you actually feel — without logging your mood, making an account or being nudged to come back.
Reset →
You can find out, in about five minutes and without handing your details to anyone, which small practical fixes actually apply to your life — and start with the ones that take the least effort.
Brain Gym →
You can deliberately practise a specific way of thinking at the right difficulty, and see — with its uncertainty stated — whether you have improved at that task, without being told you have become smarter.
Aptitude →
You can see not just which kinds of work line up with your capabilities, but exactly how each suggestion was calculated, how precisely each capability was measured, and which parts of the result would change if you trained a specific gap.
Measure Once →
You can hand anyone — a tailor, a seller, a sizing form — one dated set of measurements you took properly, in both units, with each number labelled by the method that produced it.
GymBuddy →
You can walk into an unfamiliar gym knowing which exercises train the muscle you came for, and what each one looks like performed — without naming a single machine or asking anyone.
Elevate →
You can get the substance of seven books on one topic — deduplicated, attributed to their sources, and each marked with how strong the evidence behind it is — in an evening rather than a year.
PhysioWeb →
You can point at the part of your body that hurts and get short, pre-vetted video for it in under a minute — without knowing its name, and without having to judge a search result you aren't equipped to judge.
SuppsWise →
You can see, before spending anything, which compounds have human trial evidence behind them for your stated goals, how strong that evidence actually is, what dose the trials used, and what each one interacts with.

Where this goes

The gap is the work, not the products.

Five free web apps is where we are, not where this is going. The products are current answers to specific versions of one question, and none of them is the point. If a better way exists to deliver the same capability, the product should change or go.

What stays constant is the direction: keep finding things that are already possible for some people, and make them practical for everyone else. That work has no obvious end, which is the main reason it's worth organising a company around.

The question we keep asking

What is already possible somewhere, but not yet practical for everyone?
